Project Students

Nishant Mishra

Once deeply occupied in online gaming, consuming valuable time, he later shifted his focus to interdisciplinary research after discovering a series of engaging lectures at the EMBL and ISCB platform. Prior to joining the BSA lab, he choreographed biomolecules at the Computational μ-scope Lab for Interfacial Science & Soft Matter(CμLIS) in IIT BHU (Varanasi). There he explored Molecular Dynamics Simulations, manipulating systems from simple protein solution to dragging functionalized nanoparticles on lipid models with a focus on biophysical changes. Currently in the BMSA lab, he is investigating the aggregation drivers of single biomolecules linked to neurodegenerative disorders and crafts nanostructures to untangle amyloid mysteries. Beyond academics, he enjoys playing multiple musical instruments, spending time with friends, and prefers the coziness of small gatherings.

Ridhiee Bonda

She is a final year student pursuing B.Tech. in Biotechnology. Her passion is deeply rooted in the captivating realm of biologic discovery and therapeutic proteins. The intersection of scientific exploration, technological innovation, and a sincere aspiration to contribute to the progress of medical science fuels their interest in these domains. Alongside the comprehensive laboratory skills acquired during their academic journey, she underwent a month-long industrial training in Biopharmaceutical technology. Additionally, an internship in the analytical department at Zydus Pharmaceuticals provided her with insights into sophisticated equipment such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, and other analytical techniques. Beyond their academic pursuits, she finds joy in playing basketball and embarking on travel adventures.

Anubhuti Bhatia

She is pursuing her MTech in Biotechnology. As a second-year master’s student, her research is centered on working with the self-assembly and co-aggregation of amino acids and proteins leading to the formation of amyloids. She worked on a variety of projects which included publishing a review article on “Current and Future Prospective of Lignin derived materials for the Removal of Toxic Dyes from Wastewater” and completing a project on “Physical, Chemical and Microbial Analysis of various Ethnic Food Products” while working as an intern in a food industry, which caught her interest working closely with respect to food materials and their effects on the human body. Apart from her academic interests, she likes to sing, dance, and read as her creative outlet.
