Who am I

As a passionate researcher, I am deeply fascinated by the complexities of the bio molecular interactions at the sub cellular level. My research focuses mainly on understanding the mechanisms of molecular self-assembly; its contribution to disease progression and for designing smart materials. My current research focuses on studying the fundamental mechanisms behind metabolite-linked amyloidogenesis and developing therapeutic strategies to combat amyloid-related diseases.

The legendary Dr. Albert Einstein once said, “I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious.” These words resonate deeply with me, igniting an unquenchable thirst not only to excel as a distinguished scientist but also to serve as a mentor in the dynamic realm of bioengineering. My journey is driven by an insatiable desire to explore the complex biomolecular mechanisms underlying disease progression and therapeutic interventions, with a particular focus on unraveling the mysterious role of molecular self-assembly.


I am deeply committed to advancing the fields of Amyloid Biology, Neurodegeneration, Phase separation and Drug Delivery, where I believe fundamental research holds the greatest potential for transformative impact. After earning my B.Tech and M.Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University, I pursued my Ph.D. at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur.


My journey thus far has been shaped by a steadfast passion and relentless dedication. Over five remarkable years, I have gained invaluable research experience as an NIH and CIHR postdoctoral fellow. I had the privilege of working at the Department of Medicine at Boston University and the University of Alberta, collaborating with some of the most brilliant minds in the field. Presently, I serve as a Research Assistant Professor at SRM University Kattankulathur, Chennai, where I continue to make meaningful contributions to these critical areas of study.

As I move forward in this exciting journey of scientific discovery, my commitment remains unwavering: to push the boundaries of knowledge, mentor future generations of scientists, and contribute to groundbreaking advancements that improve lives. I aspire for my work to serve as a catalyst for innovation and progress, inspiring collaborations and discoveries that will benefit society for generations to come.
